When I say import/export, you might picture shipping containers, cargo ships, and loading docks. That’s what I used to think of, too. But that’s really not what I’m talking about here.
So let’s throw out these traditional “import/export” concepts…
Instead, let’s think of it as going shopping online for the best deal on your favorite product, buying more of it than you can possibly use yourself, and then selling it to other people (at a profit).
If you like to shop, it’s a great way to earn extra cash. Barefoot running shoes, little pink tutus, hair weaves, and almost any product you can imagine are on sale through Alibaba direct from their manufacturer.
Yesterday I told you how to make the lowest-cost suppliers come to you using Alibaba.com. Of course, the simplest way to make a profit is always to buy low and sell high.
But the key to BIG profits is to find out which products are in demand.
Alibaba.com has an easy way to do that, too, called Trade Alerts. These are free, personalized updates on newly-added products, trends, and demand for products — exclusively for the industries you select. Trade Alerts are sent directly to your e-mail inbox. (You choose how often to receive them.)
Import/export has always been a great way to earn large amounts of spare cash. But now that this whole business is available to you online at your fingertips there really is no better time to get started.
