By the time an elephant gives birth, she’s been pregnant for almost two years. Her newborn calf weighs 250 pounds. Another female elephant acts as her midwife, cutting the umbilical cord and caring for the calf. After all, it’s pretty stressful giving birth to a 250-pound baby. As our Thailand Photography Expedition comes to a close, I think back on all of the things we learned here. We can say “hello” and “thank you” in Thai. We’re better photographers. We’re better travelers. We can identify the hot chili, the hotter chili, and the hot hot hot chili. We’ve broadened our knowledge of world religions. And, perhaps most importantly, we can all cook a mean Pad Thai. Now we’re all thinking about the articles we’ll write about our experiences here… the photos we’ll sell as stock, as fine art, as editorial. Scroll down to see some of my favorite attendee photos from this trip. Cheers from our last day in Thailand! — Bonnie Bonnie Caton Editorial Manager, Great Escape Publishing P.S. I have high expectations for my Thailand attendees. If they want to, just judging by the great photos they took here (see below), each one of them could be making money with their photography in half the time it takes an elephant to come into the world. And so could you… All it takes is to get out there with your camera. Our greatest success stories rarely come from our most talented writers and photographers.  They’re always the people who just get out there and do it. —– Thailand Photo Expedition, 2010 Attendee Photos Davis Chapman Linda Quade Beverly Hart Sue Hunter Bill Buda Valerie Wickland [Editor’s Note: Learn more about how you can turn your pictures into cash in our free online newsletter The Right Way to Travel.  Sign up here today and we’ll send you a new report, Selling Photos for Cash: A Quick-Start Guide, completely FREE.]
